سیر تکوینی اندیشه امس راپاپورت در حوزه فرهنگ و مطالعات رفتار-محیط

چکیده: راپاپورت از جمله فرهنگ گرایانی است که پژوهش های وسیعی در زمینه فرهنگ در حوزه معماری و مطالعات شهری انجام داده و بخش زیادی از عمر پژوهشی خود را به مطالعات رفتار-محیط اختصاص داده است. لذا بررسی سیر تحول اندیشه های وی در این عرصه بسیار حائز اهمیت میباشد. از این رو، هدف پژوهش حاضر بررسی خط فکری راپاپورت در زمینه فرهنگ و مطالعات رفتار-محیط به ویژه در دو دهه ی اخیر و شناسایی تازه ترین نظریات وی میباشد. این پژوهش از نوع مروری توصیفی دانست که طی آن از روش اسنادی و مطالعه مقالات و کتب معتبر بهره گرفته شده است. نتیجه آنکه، راپاپورت با حرکت از پارادایم هنری در معماری به سمت پارادایم علمی در حوزه مطالعات فرهنگی در معماری و شهرسازی به دستاوردهای مهمی به ویژه در زمینه ی مطالعات رفتار-محیط دست یافته است. وی در دو دهه ی اخیر به دنبال بسط نظریهای علمی بوده که بتواند به عملیاتی ساختن مقوله ی فرهنگ یاری رساند. از دید راپاپورت، همه ی پژوهش های وی گام های مقدماتی برای دستیابی او به نظریه توصیفی بوده است که این امر نشانگر پیوستگی و تداوم در روند مطالات راپاپورت میباشد؛ گویی هر قطعه به قطعه های قبلی افزوده میشود. با وجود برخی نقدها به رویکرد مطالعات رفتار-محیط راپاپورت میتوان گفت این رویکرد هنوز پیشرفت اصلی در زمینه طراحی محسوب میشود.

Abstract: Rapaport is one of the culturalists who has done extensive research in the field of culture in the field of architecture and urban studies and has devoted a large part of his research life to behavior-environment studies. Therefore, it is very important to study the evolution of his ideas in this field. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine Rapaport's line of thought in the field of culture and behavior-environment studies, especially in the last two decades, and to identify his latest theories. This research is a descriptive review in which the documentary method and the study of authoritative articles and books have been used. As a result, by moving from the artistic paradigm in architecture to the scientific paradigm in the field of cultural studies in architecture and urban planning, Rapaport has achieved important achievements, especially in the field of behavior-environment studies. In the last two decades, he has sought to develop scientific theories that can help operationalize the category of culture. According to Rapaport, all of his research has been a preliminary step towards his descriptive theory, which indicates the continuity and continuity of Rapaport's reading process; It is as if each piece is added to the previous pieces. Despite some criticisms of Rapaport's behavior-environment studies approach, it can still be said that this approach is still a major breakthrough in design.
